Digital Chart score is based on streaming and downloading mp3 files.
There are 6 major charts that are accounted for digital chart score:
- Melon
- Mnet
- Bugs
- Soribada
- Olleh Music
- Cyworld
In order to increase the number of downloads after downloading the mp3 file, KA+s cancel their memberships and rejoins to reset the downloaded record and download again!
This goes on for every chart listed above everyday…
Each mp3 file cost 600won to download which is roughly 60 cents US.
Korean staff in charge of downloading just the “Bugs Chart” roughly downloads 300 mp3 files everyday (and that’s only one chart!).
All the money collected in this donation project will be sent directly to the staff who is already charge of handling the donations for digital charts from KA+s.
The staff was very greatful for this donation project because the money from KA+s was almost running out! :(
